I also use cubes. I see them as my one extravagence. I am a man of simple pleasures (probably why I hang around on here)

My Mrs gave me a teapot for Christmas last year. Love it, with a tea cosy of course.

When I saw the title to this thread I thought knowing who this is got to be about poofters. Quite surprised when looked it was about tea. Oh, I haven't had tea out of a teapot for yonks it does taste much better than a teabag.

I use a teapot at weekends as well.
Have a few different teas, but normally stick with red label

Love a cup of tea and often use a teapot at the weekend.... but does anyone else find that tea making is very erratic?
Sometimes you make a cracking cuppa that is perfect, next time you do exactly the same with exactly the same ingredients and it's shit.... what's going on there then!?
And no I didn't use Shin's teapot.

I know.
But our family didn't drink tea but my nan (the British side obviously) would get mad at us if we tried to use teabags to make her some, when she came over. She would say what I did.

geoff, trust me when I say this, Punjana teabags are better. And I was once a Yorkshire tea nut.
Unfortunately, you can only seem to get them in big Tesco's, but it's worth the hassle.

Milk in the cup BEFORE the tea. You don't want to damage your best bone china by pouring hot liquid straight onto the porcelain.
And don't make such a bloody racket when stirring by banging the teaspoon around the inside of the cup. With a bit of practice you can stir perfectly well without touching the sides, plus you won't damage the up (see above)
